Not only do I <3 the lyrics but this song is one of my very favorites of all time. I'll never forget hearing it for the first time a month or so before high school graduation (Goooooo Tigers!), when my young adult life was starting and everything seemed to be changing (in a good but terrifying way, of course). In a time before music videos were available on your computer, and MTV still played music videos MOST of the time, I would have the TV on whenever I was home, hoping that they'd show it (I also obvi <3 lead singer Brett Scallions). There are literally thousands of songs that make up the soundtrack to my life but this one will forever hold a special place in my <3.

ReplyDeleteHearing it live with you at Slim's c. 1999 (I think it was '99) was awesome. Great night, great venue, great song. Remember when BS walked right by us while we were waiting in line outside and you were too nervous to say something...probably one of the few (if not the only) times I've seen you shy away due to being starstruck.
